On July 2, Ansan City announced that it would introduce CloudN Co., Ltd.'s AI-based energy and facility integration platform to the Urban Information Center and Central Library by the end of this year. The city explained that the platform is expected to achieve a 20% reduction in energy consumption for these buildings.
This project was launched after CloudN, the second company supported by the local Youth Startup Fund, secured 200 million won in national funding in May by being selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's 'Smart City Innovative Technology Discovery' competition. The city entered into the agreement after a demonstration review following the company's selection in the competition.
Previously, in May, CloudN delivered a keynote speech on joint smart city projects with Ansan City at the '2025 Korea-ASEAN Service Tech·Smart City Day' held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Based on its project with Ansan City, CloudN has also agreed to promote a smart city pilot project with Pattaya City in Thailand. The company has been invited to the 'Sustainability Expo 2025' scheduled for September and is currently considering participation.
Lee Mingeun, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "This agreement serves as an opportunity to confirm the potential success of the Ansan Youth Startup Fund," adding, "We will expand smart city innovative technology projects to public facilities and move forward in line with the era of zero energy."
