'Talent' is a word that metaphorically expresses an individual's abilities or gifts. The newly established 'Talent Admission' is designed to discover talents that manifest differently in each individual, to help students utilize and develop these talents, and to foster individuals who can contribute significantly not only to their personal growth but also to society as a whole.

The Talent Admission will place greater emphasis on grades in elective courses chosen based on students' aptitudes and career interests, in line with curriculum reforms and the expansion of elective course enrollment, compared to grades in general subjects.

Grades will be calculated by weighting the grades of general subjects (the top three subject groups) at 40% and the raw scores of career elective courses at 60%. Students who have graduated or are expected to graduate from domestic high schools are eligible to apply.

Additionally, the Talent Admission will select a total of 250 students from two colleges (the College of Humanities and Contents, and the College of Business Administration), where integrated college admissions will be implemented, and from two departments (the Interdisciplinary Studies Department and the College of Education Interdisciplinary Major Department).

Lee Geunho, Director of Admissions, stated, "With the introduction of the Talent Admission, we aim to pursue better alignment between students' aptitudes and their career paths. We will continue to closely examine each student's career and growth potential and strive to continually improve our admissions process to reduce the burden on applicants and their parents."

Meanwhile, Jeonju University plans to select a total of 2,451 students in the 2026 early admission, and has expanded the number of applications allowed so that students can apply to Jeonju University up to six times.

In addition, to guarantee new students at the College of Education the right to choose their major and to foster teachers with diverse competencies, the university established the College of Education Interdisciplinary Major Department this year. The number of students admitted to the Interdisciplinary Studies Department, which was newly established last year and has attracted much interest from applicants, and the Companion Animal Industry Department (formerly the Companion Animal Industry Major) has also been significantly increased, drawing attention from many students.
