The recruitment categories include 14 snack booths, 6 food trucks, 5 alcohol booths (3 for beer and 2 for Makgeolli), and 2 experience booths, for a total of 27 teams. It is expected that both local residents and tourists will be able to enjoy a variety of foods and activities all in one place.
Eligibility is limited to organizations and businesses based in Jeongeup. Applications can be submitted either in person at the Tourism Planning Team on the 4th floor of City Hall's main building or via email. For email submissions, a scanned copy of the signed and sealed application documents must be attached.
The city plans to use this festival to invigorate the local economy and provide citizens and tourists with enjoyable summer night memories. During the recent Cherry Blossom Festival, food booths and food trucks were also highly popular, achieving sales of approximately 180 million won.
A city official stated, "We are preparing a festival where people can cool off during the hot summer," and added, "We look forward to the active participation of local organizations and businesses."
Meanwhile, this year's Jeongeup Mulbit Festival will be held under the theme of "Summer Night Rock Festa" at the children's soccer field area along the Jeongeupcheon Stream. During the festival, a variety of programs will take place, including a youth music festa, a youth dance festival, the Mulbit Water Bomb, event games, a heat-busting experience, and a free walking road (car-free street).
