GC Green Cross Medical Foundation Holds 43rd Anniversary Ceremony

On July 1, GC Green Cross Medical Foundation announced that it held its 43rd anniversary ceremony at the GC Green Cross headquarters in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.


The event was attended by more than 100 employees, including Heo Ilseop, chairman of GC (Green Cross Holdings), Park Yongtae, vice chairman of GC, and representatives from each affiliate. For employees at the Honam and Yeongnam branches, as well as GC Green Cross i-Med staff at Gangnam, Gangbuk, and Seoulsup, who could not attend in person, the event was also broadcast live online.

During the event, various awards were presented, including commendations for employees who contributed to the company's growth. The Merit Award was given to two individuals: Cho Seongeun, head of the Endocrine Substance Analysis Center, and Cha Mucheol, head of the Finance Unit. The Exemplary Award was presented to 12 people, including Koo Sunyoung, head of the Cell Genetics Team. In addition, six teams?Automation Testing Team 1, Specimen Management Team 1, Immunoassay Team, Bioresearch Resources Team, E-Metabolic Medicine Team, and General Affairs Team?received Outstanding Team Awards. The Outstanding Proposal Award was given to six people, including Ryu Gowoon, head of the Special Microbiology Team. Long Service Awards were presented to 24 employees, including Choi Seokyeol, head of the Yeongnam branch management office.


The event continued with congratulatory remarks from Lee Eunhee, chairperson of GC Green Cross Medical Foundation, a commemorative address from Lee Sanggon, CEO of GC Green Cross Medical Foundation, and well-wishes from Heo Ilseop, chairman of GC.


In his commemorative address, Lee Sanggon, CEO of GC Green Cross Medical Foundation, stated, "We are presenting the direction we must take for a new start toward the future." He proposed the automation of the specimen management system's pre-processing, quality innovation through international-level external consulting reviews, and a spirit of respect for life that treats every specimen as a human life. He also expressed gratitude to employees and affiliates while outlining the foundation's vision for development.


Meanwhile, GC Green Cross Medical Foundation, established in 1982, is the first and largest specialized specimen testing institution in South Korea. Over the past 40 years, it has accumulated unique expertise and testing proficiency, providing top-level diagnostic laboratory and pathological testing services, and is advancing to become an internationally recognized testing institution.
