Localization of OSB Panels Previously Dependent on Imports
"Strengthening Our Position in the Domestic Wooden House Market"
Dongwha Enterprise announced on July 2 that it will expand the supply of its 'structural board' in the domestic wooden house market.
Dongwha Enterprise has begun supplying its structural board to modular housing specialists such as Jaigeist and Gongganjejakso, as well as builders affiliated with the Korea Passive House Association, in an effort to expand its market presence. Through these efforts, the company has demonstrated the technological capabilities and quality stability of its structural board and has succeeded in commercializing the product. In particular, by replacing imported OSB (Oriented Strand Board) panels previously relied upon for wooden houses, Dongwha Enterprise is also contributing to the localization of these materials.

The structural board is a building material for wooden houses jointly developed by Dongwha Enterprise and the National Institute of Forest Science in 2023. It boasts up to 2.6 times higher shear strength compared to imported products. When a specially developed surface material is applied, the board's waterproofing, breathability, and slip resistance are further enhanced.
A Dongwha Enterprise representative stated, "Starting with participation in pilot projects for wooden houses, we have succeeded in commercializing the structural board by securing a variety of customers, including private construction companies," adding, "Based on the technological capabilities of domestic materials, we will continue to strengthen our position in the domestic wooden house market."
