On July 1, Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Cho Sangrae) announced that it had conducted 'Agricultural Machinery Mobile Repair and Safety Technology Training' 30 times for 41 villages during the first half of this year.

This training was organized to support the stable farming activities of local farmers and to minimize delays in farming operations caused by agricultural machinery breakdowns. The county visited each village and carried out on-site inspections and simple parts replacements for frequently used rural machines such as cultivators, tillers, and brush cutters.

In particular, this year, safety technology training aimed at preventing agricultural machinery accidents was also provided. The training focused on pre-operation inspection methods, safe driving techniques, accident case studies, and emergency response procedures, which contributed to raising farmers' safety awareness and received a positive response.

Guidance and consultations on comprehensive agricultural machinery insurance were also offered. This insurance, partially subsidized by the government, helps cover personal injuries or machinery damage caused by accidents. The self-pay ratio has been reduced to 10% this year, significantly lowering the burden of enrollment. On-site, the main features and enrollment procedures of the insurance were explained in detail to help farmers better understand the program.

An official from the Gokseong Agricultural Technology Center stated, "Agricultural machinery is an essential asset in rural areas, so regular inspections and safe usage are important," adding, "We will continue to provide mobile repair training, safety education, and insurance guidance to promote farmers' safety and productivity."

Meanwhile, the county is also planning additional mobile repair training for the second half of this year, and detailed schedules will be announced through town and township offices.
