The district has launched this initiative to reduce safety blind spots by providing customized education directly to vulnerable groups who have limited access to such training. The program is conducted by visiting senior centers, facilities for people with disabilities, and multicultural family centers within the district. Last year, a total of around 400 people participated in the training at 25 facilities, receiving a positive response.

The program is open to seniors, people with disabilities, and multicultural families who use these facilities. The training schedule began in April and will be conducted once at each facility until September.

Professional instructors visit the facilities to deliver the training. The curriculum focuses on practical experiences and case studies tailored to the characteristics of each group, covering topics such as everyday safety, fire safety, traffic safety, crime prevention, disaster safety, and first aid, to enhance participants' understanding.

In addition, since March, the district has been conducting "Safety Experience Camps" and safety education by visiting elementary, middle, and high schools. The district is also visiting about 1,000 households, including basic livelihood security recipients, low-income families, and people with disabilities, to conduct safety inspections in five areas?gas, electricity, fire safety, and more?and provide safety supplies.

The district plans to expand the target groups for education so that vulnerable residents can receive practical help in their daily lives, and will offer customized training based on demand surveys at each facility.

Seo Kangseok, Mayor of Songpa District, stated, "Disasters and accidents come without warning, but with preparation, we can greatly reduce the damage," adding, "We will continue to make Songpa a safe city where all residents can live with peace of mind."
