"Rest and Recovery for Weary Teachers"... Busan Training Institute to Operate 'Teacher Master Academy'

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education Training Institute (Director Kim Miran) will operate the "Teacher Master Academy" for 300 kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school teachers and education professionals from July 3 to July 16, 2025.

This program has been organized to provide teachers, who are experiencing emotional exhaustion due to recent infringements on teachers' authority and changes in the educational environment, with an opportunity to restore their sense of identity and gain educational insight. The plan is to invite distinguished figures from various fields such as the humanities, science, and the arts, to reaffirm the value of the teaching profession and to promote positive motivation and the restoration of self-esteem.

The academy will feature lectures by experts in each field, including: "Humanities for Teachers Weary of Teaching" by author Jung Yeoul; "The Slow Aging Mindset" by Dr. Jung Heewon; "Communication Skills to Build Relationship Competence" by You Semi, CEO of Communication; and "A Scientific Perspective to View the World Anew" by Professor Kwak Jaesik.

In addition, a lecture concert (a performance-style lecture) that weaves together stories of music and art, as well as a customized consulting program offering personal color diagnosis and application methods for each individual, will be provided. These are expected to offer practical help for teachers’ physical and mental recovery.

Kim Miran, Director of the Training Institute, said, "I hope this academy will serve as an opportunity for deep reflection and recovery for teachers who are exhausted at the end of the semester," and added, "I also expect it to serve as a catalyst to revive teachers’ pride and passion for education even amid a changing educational environment."
