Shinhan Bank Launches "1982 Legendary Savings" Offering Up to 7.7% Interest

Preferential Rates Linked to "Sol Baseball"...
Up to 300,000 Won per Month

On July 1, Shinhan Bank announced the launch of the "1982 Legendary Savings," a product commemorating its 43rd anniversary, offering an annual interest rate of up to 7.7%.

This product is a one-year maturity flexible savings account, allowing monthly deposits of up to 300,000 won. Both individuals and sole proprietors are eligible to open the account. The base interest rate is 3.0% per annum, with a preferential rate of up to 4.7 percentage points, bringing the maximum possible annual interest rate to 7.7%.

The preferential rates are available to Shinhan Card users and "Sol Baseball" users. Customers who newly issue a Shinhan credit card and meet spending requirements for at least three months receive an annual rate of 4.2%. Customers who meet spending requirements with a Shinhan Card (credit or debit) for at least six months receive an annual rate of 3.5%. Customers who set a cheering team on the digital baseball platform "Sol Baseball" within Shinhan Sol Bank receive an annual rate of 0.5%.

In conjunction with the product launch, Shinhan Bank will also hold a linked event with a total prize pool of 198.2 million won to celebrate the founding of the KBO League in the same year.

For this event, customers who subscribe to the product and correctly predict the final winner of the KBO Korean Series will share a total of 178.2 million won, divided equally according to the number of participants who guessed correctly. Additionally, among all customers who participate in the vote, 20,000 MyShinhan Points will be awarded to 1,000 winners selected by lottery.

An "1982 Legendary Subscription" event for the 2030 generation will also take place. The first 20,000 young customers aged 19 to 39 will receive a 20,000-won money coupon. The coupon can be used when signing up for a housing subscription through the Shinhan Sol Bank event page.
