Former Prime Minister Han Ducksoo has reportedly filed a defamation lawsuit against singer-turned-broadcaster Oh Yoonhye.

According to the police and other sources on June 30, the Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency summoned Oh for questioning that day on charges of defamation and the dissemination of false information under the Public Official Election Act.

In April, during an appearance on the MBC radio program "Kwon Soonpyo's News High Kick," Oh stated, "Someone I know works at the ○○ Hotel, and they said Han Ducksoo comes in regularly with his wife and spends hundreds of thousands of won on meals." She added, "He doesn't care if the country collapses, he just uses his corporate card, eats expensive food, and is completely absorbed in playing president right now." Han's side filed a police complaint, claiming that Oh had spread false information and defamed him.

Oh recently appeared again on the same program and said, "When there was controversy in April over Han's nomination as a Constitutional Court justice candidate, civic groups continued to file complaints. At that time, I criticized him, saying, 'The people are going crazy, and you're eating at that hotel?' and that's when he filed a complaint against me."

After completing her police questioning, Oh posted on her social media on June 30, "Thanks to my reliable lawyer and the kind investigators, the questioning went well. It was thrilling to visit a police station for the first time in my life," along with a photo of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Major Crime Investigation Unit.

Oh debuted in 2006 with the single album "I Wish" and has released songs such as "Shall We Marry," "Pium," "Winter Moon," and "I'll Become a Star." Recently, she has been active mainly on political YouTube channels and podcasts, including "Maebul Show" and "Kim Yongmin TV."
