'Birdie Bomber' Go Jiwoo has risen to 90th place in the world rankings.
In the women's golf weekly world rankings announced on June 30 (local time), she received 1.28 points, jumping 30 spots from 120th last week. She accumulated these points by winning the KLPGA Tour McCol·Mona Yongpyong Open (total prize money 1 billion won), which concluded last week at Birch Hill Country Club (par 72) in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province.

Go Jiwoo secured a 'wire-to-wire' victory, maintaining her lead at the top of the leaderboard for three consecutive days. She finished with a score of 23-under-par 193, matching the 54-hole lowest score set by Cho Jeongmin at the Lotte Cantata Women's Open in June 2018.
There were no changes among the top-ranked players. Although the Dow Championship, a two-player team event on the LPGA Tour, was held, it did not award any world ranking points. Nelly Korda (USA), Atthaya Thitikul (Thailand), Lydia Ko (New Zealand), Yin Ruoning (China), and Yoo Hae-ran maintained their positions in the top five.
Minjee Lee (Australia) is ranked 6th, Kim Hyojoo 9th, Ko Jin-young 15th, Yealimi Noh (USA) 20th, Choi Hyejin 24th, Yang Heeyoung 26th, Lee Yewon 29th, and Yoon Yina 31st. Lim Jinhui and Lee Somin, who claimed their first career victory as a team at the Dow Championship, are ranked 32nd and 56th, respectively.
