Increasing the Number of Issuances
and Raising Individual Purchase Limits
Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province will expand the purchase limit and issuance plan for the Sancheong Sarang Gift Certificate starting in July.
This adjustment is a response to the allocation of national and provincial subsidies for the local gift certificate issuance support project. As a result, the issuance of Sancheong Sarang Gift Certificates (both mobile and paper), which was originally scheduled to be issued twice a year (April and September) in the amount of 12.6 billion KRW, will be expanded to 18.5 billion KRW and issued in the odd-numbered months of the second half of the year (July, September, and November).
In particular, the individual purchase limit will be raised from 200,000 KRW to 300,000 KRW per month for paper certificates, and from 300,000 KRW to 400,000 KRW per month for mobile certificates. In addition, the individual holding limit for mobile gift certificates will be increased from 600,000 KRW to 1,000,000 KRW.
The discount rate when purchasing the gift certificates will remain at 10%, and if any certificates remain unsold in the month of issuance, they will be carried over for sale in the following month.
County Governor Lee Seunghwa stated, "I hope this expanded issuance will help reduce the cost of living for residents and revitalize small businesses," adding, "We will continue to work to boost the local economy."
