The Changwon Coast Guard Station in Gyeongnam held its 2025 first half retirement ceremony at the station auditorium on June 30.
Among the five officers set to retire, Superintendent Hwang Changseop and Inspectors Kim Seongan and Kim Gwangsu attended the ceremony, exchanging farewells with colleagues and juniors with whom they had served.
More than 80 people, including Chief Ok Changmuk, current officers, the retirees' families, and honorary Coast Guard officer and singer Jang Yeju, attended the event to express their gratitude for the retirees' years of service and to celebrate their retirement.

The ceremony proceeded in the following order: congratulatory remarks by Chief Ok, a retirement congratulatory video, a government award presentation, farewell speeches and retirement addresses, and a commemorative photo session.
A representative of the Changwon Coast Guard Station stated, "All staff members celebrated the final steps of our seniors who have dedicated decades to the Coast Guard," adding, "We wish the retirees happiness and success as they embark on the next chapter of their lives."
