The Jusarang Community Foundation (Chairman: Pastor Lee Jongrak) announced on June 30 that singer Tim (Korean name: Hwang Youngmin) has been officially appointed as an ambassador for the "Babybox" initiative.

Singer Tim is a beloved artist known for his warm sensibility and sincere music, represented by songs such as "I Love You" and "Thank You." He moved to Korea while studying pharmacy at Temple University in the United States, debuted as a singer in 2003, and has since been active on various entertainment programs.

In his remarks upon appointment, Tim stated, "With a humble heart, I will do my best to widely promote the role of the Babybox in saving the lives of infants in crisis."

With this appointment, he will go beyond his musical activities to participate in a ministry that promotes the spirit of the Good Samaritan, the value of respecting life, and sharing.

The Babybox was first installed in December 2009 in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, and has protected 2,188 infants in crisis to date. Through the Babybox, the organization provides counseling to 98% of single mothers who come for help, and about 30% of the babies are returned to their birth families to be raised by their mothers. In addition, Jusarang Community provides parenting kits, living expenses, and medical and legal support for three years to more than 500 families whose children have returned to their birth families.
