Enhancing Momentum for Job Programs in the Second Half of the Year
Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyeon) announced on the 30th that it held the "2025 2nd Quarter Guri City Job Policy Headquarters" meeting on the 25th at the Guri City Hall conference room, where the city shared both the achievements of employment services in the first half of 2025 and the direction for job policies in the second half of the year.

The meeting, presided over by Kim Jinhee, Director of Economic and Financial Affairs, was attended by a total of nine participants, including those in charge of overall job policy, corporate support, senior and disabled employment support departments, and officials from Guri Urban Corporation. The agenda included a report on the overall and sectoral achievements of job programs in the first half of 2025, a report on the implementation of job policy measures in the first half of 2025, and a discussion on plans for job policy measures in the second half of 2025.
In particular, the main achievements shared were: the promotion of priority hiring for Guri citizens following the reopening of Lotte Mart Guri branch; expansion of industry notifications to vitalize tenant occupancy at the Guri Knowledge Industry Center; and multifaceted promotional strategies to activate the Guri City Job Center. The city also explored various policy measures to proactively respond to changes in employment and to establish a job infrastructure that citizens can tangibly experience.
Baek Kyunghyeon, Mayor of Guri City, stated, "We will continue to thoroughly review all job policies to provide young people with opportunities to take their first steps, offer stable transition opportunities to the middle-aged, and help women overcome career interruptions. We are committed to supporting job policies that citizens can truly feel."
Meanwhile, the city provides citizens with a variety of employment support services through the Job Center and Saeil Center, including customized job counseling, vocational training, and job placement.
