Hana Bank announced on the 30th that it held the "2025 Templestay Event" from the 28th for one night and two days at Beopjusa Temple in Songnisan-myeon, Boeun-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, inviting around 30 foreign guests to introduce them to the traditional culture and beauty of Korea.

Since 2011, Hana Bank has regularly organized Templestay events through a business agreement with the Cultural Corps of Korean Buddhism. However, the events were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic and resumed this year after a six-year hiatus. This event was designed to provide foreign guests residing in Korea with an opportunity to experience traditional Korean culture firsthand, and to strengthen relationships with guests based on cultural exchange.

For the convenience of foreign guests, all programs were conducted in English. In the tranquil mountain temple, participants enjoyed meaningful moments immersed in the spirit of Korean Buddhist culture by joining monks for activities such as a temple tour, Buddhist ceremonies, a bracelet-making experience, traditional dancheong coloring, and tea conversations.

A foreign guest who participated in the event said, "I have always been interested in Korean culture and wanted to experience a templestay, so I am very grateful to Hana Bank for making it possible. In particular, I was happy to have a healing time while exploring Beopjusa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site."

A Hana Bank representative stated, "This event was aimed at expanding our engagement with foreign guests beyond finance into the realm of culture," adding, "We plan to continue providing differentiated cultural experience programs for foreign guests in the future."

Meanwhile, in 2024, Hana Bank became the first in the financial sector to host a "VIP Foreign Guest Invitation Event" for foreign workers. Since 2014, the bank has also invited foreign workers and multicultural families to its annual "Hana Global Sharing Concert," thereby fulfilling its social responsibility as a financial institution and creating sustainable value together with global customers.
