34th Anniversary Town Hall Meeting Held for All Employees on June 30
KT Alpha has announced its ambition to grow into a future commerce and marketing company. The company plans to strengthen its collaboration system with customers and partners, focusing on its data home shopping (T-commerce) and mobile voucher businesses.
On June 30, Park Seungpyo, CEO of KT Alpha, held a town hall meeting at the company's headquarters in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, to share the company's future management direction. This meeting was organized to commemorate the company's 34th anniversary on July 1, with all executives and employees participating via a live YouTube broadcast.
Since his appointment as CEO in January last year, Park has made customer-centric "fundamental competitiveness enhancement" his top priority. To this end, he improved the company's product portfolio and focused on securing core competitiveness, such as enhancing video quality, which led to a record-high operating profit of 24.6 billion won last year. In the first quarter of this year, the company has continued its growth, surpassing half of last year's operating profit.
At the town hall meeting, Park stated, "We will build a virtuous marketing ecosystem that connects brands, channels, and customers, focusing on the two pillars of T-commerce and mobile vouchers."
By business segment, the T-commerce business will strengthen cooperation with product suppliers. KT Alpha will utilize KT Group resources, such as sports marketing, membership programs, mobile marketing, and outdoor advertising, to expand its touchpoints with consumers. The company will also fully mobilize both online and offline marketing to support small and medium-sized suppliers in developing their product lineups. Additionally, KT Alpha plans to discover new brands and help them establish a foothold in the market. Starting in July, the company will operate win-win programs, including improved payment terms and financial support systems for outstanding suppliers.
The mobile voucher business will be further developed to enhance convenience for corporate clients and users. Beyond mass texting, KT Alpha aims to increase marketing efficiency and precision through data analysis, providing tailored marketing solutions that offer insights to corporate clients and brand partners.
Park stated, "As a channel connecting customers and partners, the company will drive brand growth and expand its role in providing a higher level of customer experience. By consolidating the company's capabilities, we aim to become a commerce and marketing company that realizes a sustainable cooperation system and joint growth."
