Implementation of the "Siheung Salrim Help Project": Cleaning, Dishwashing, Laundry, and Waste Separation Services
A Total of 100 Households to Receive Services by November, with 30 Selected First

Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province will provide services such as cleaning and dishwashing on behalf of dual-income households and pregnant women.

On June 30, Siheung City announced that it would begin accepting applications for the "Siheung Salrim Help Project," a Siheung-style Gyeonggi housekeeping support service, from July 1 to July 11.

Siheung City: "We Will Do Household Chores for Dual-Income, Pregnant, and Multi-Child Families"

This project, which is fully funded by the provincial government, aims to reduce the household burdens of pregnant women, dual-income families, and families with multiple children whose income is at or below 150% of the median income. The goal is to support work-life balance and foster a birth- and child-rearing-friendly environment. The program is being implemented in nine cities and counties within the province, including Siheung City.

For selected households, a trained housekeeper will visit to assist with daily household chores such as cleaning, dishwashing, laundry, and waste separation. Each selected household will be eligible to receive a total of 10 housekeeping service sessions starting from the end of July. However, the service does not cover cooking, childcare, pet care, move-in cleaning, or services that require special professional qualifications.

The city will provide services to a total of 100 households. Of these, 30 households will be selected first on July 18, and the remaining 70 households will receive services sequentially according to priority by the end of November.

To apply, applicants must complete the application documents as outlined in the public notice and submit them either via email to the person in charge or in person at their local administrative welfare center. The city will verify eligibility and notify each applicant individually of the results. Detailed information can be found in the "Notices and Announcements" section of the Siheung City Hall website.

Hong Seongrim, head of the Women and Childcare Division of Siheung City, stated, "We will continue to contribute to improving the quality of life for citizens through various life support policies."
