SK Innovation-Sponsored Handball Team Meets Over 80 Fans in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province
Strengthening Community Ties After Championship Victory
The SK Sugar Gliders, a women's handball team operated by SK Innovation, met with fans to celebrate their unified championship for the 2024-2025 season.
SK Sugar Gliders announced on the 30th that they held a fan meeting on the 28th at the Gwangmyeong Lifelong Learning Center in Gyeonggi-do, continuing their efforts to engage with the local community. All team members and about 80 fans attended the event, participating in various programs including recreational activities. Team captain Yoo Sojeong expressed her gratitude, saying, "We were able to achieve this championship thanks to the support and love of our fans."

Based in Gwangmyeong, SK Sugar Gliders are also conducting community-based social contribution activities through an agreement with the city. On the 20th, they held the "Love Cookie Clash" event together with the Gwangmyeong Regional Children's Association, Gwangmyeong Urban Corporation, and the Gwangmyeong Volunteer Center. The players personally made cookies and delivered them to local children.
In addition, the club donated a portion of their championship prize money to the Gwangmyeong Social Welfare Council and operated the "Happiness Handball Class" for youth athletes in their home region.
General manager Park Jonghyuk stated, "We will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities through communication with fans as well as community-based social contribution activities in our home city."
