[Weather] Apparent Temperature to Reach 33 Degrees... Showers in Seoul and Some Areas

On Monday, the 30th, the apparent maximum temperature in the southern inland areas of Gyeonggi Province, Gangwon Province, the Chungcheong region, and the southern regions is expected to reach around 33 degrees Celsius, resulting in very hot weather.

There is a possibility that heat wave advisories may be issued in some areas, and infants, the elderly, and pregnant women should be especially cautious to prevent heat-related illnesses.


It is advisable to refrain from outdoor activities and going out, and to thoroughly manage food to prevent food poisoning.


There is also a chance that some areas may experience tropical nights, so caution is advised.


The morning low temperatures are forecast to range from 21 to 26 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs are expected to be between 27 and 35 degrees Celsius.


In the afternoon and evening, showers are expected in some areas, including the Seoul metropolitan area, inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon Province, the southwestern inland of North Gyeongsang Province, the western inland of South Gyeongsang Province, and Jeju Island.


Expected precipitation is 5 to 20 mm for Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi Province, Daegu, the southwestern inland of North Gyeongsang Province, and the western inland of South Gyeongsang Province; 5 to 10 mm for the inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon Province; and around 5 mm for Jeju Island.


Fine dust concentrations are expected to remain at 'good' to 'moderate' levels nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.


Wave heights in the coastal waters of the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea are expected to be between 0.5 and 1.0 meters.


In the offshore areas (up to about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are forecast to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea and West Sea, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the South Sea.
