The Korea Transportation Safety Authority announced on June 29 that it has processed more than 275,000 civil service requests through its next-generation automobile management information system, which has been in use since June 9.
This system is characterized by the unification of civil services previously offered through both the 'Car365' platform and the public portal, now consolidated under 'Car365.' It allows for the issuance and viewing of automobile registration records. The authority has also eliminated fees for integrated vehicle history inquiries and for reissuing registration certificates, thereby reducing the financial burden on citizens.
In the two weeks following the system overhaul, the number of new Car365 users reached approximately 25,000. By service type, the issuance and viewing of automobile registration records accounted for 266,845 cases, making it the most frequently used feature. Other commonly used functions include reissuing registration certificates, transferring registrations, and new registrations.
Jung Yongshik, President of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, stated, "With this transition to the next-generation system, we are now able to provide automobile registration civil services to the public in a much more convenient way."
