Hansungjon, the newly appointed emergency response committee chairman of the Korean Intern Resident Association (KIRA), stated after taking office, "All decisions and judgments will be based on the voices of our internal members."

Chairman Han met with reporters on the afternoon of June 28 at the Seoul Medical Association Hall, prior to the KIRA's extraordinary general assembly, and explained the significance of the meeting by saying, "This is a gathering to reflect the intentions of residents and seek ways to normalize the medical system." At the general assembly, the composition and operation plan of the new emergency response committee, as well as the approval of regional councils, will be decided. The residents' positions on major issues in the medical community are also scheduled to be discussed.

Chairman Han was elected as the new emergency response committee chairman at an online extraordinary general assembly held on June 26. At that time, he stated, "I will expand communication and ensure that the opinions of residents are well reflected."

As Chairman Han, who had previously criticized former chairman Park Dan for a lack of communication during his tenure, now emphasizes active internal communication, there are expectations that the emergency committee's approach to government relations may also change.
