Sol Kyung-gu and Hong Kyung’s 'Good News' to Premiere at Toronto International Film Festival

Invited to the Special Presentations Section

Netflix announced on the 27th that director Byun Sung-hyun's film 'Good News' has been invited to the Special Presentations section at the Toronto International Film Festival, which will be held in September.

The Toronto International Film Festival is the largest film festival in North America and is considered one of the world's four major film festivals, alongside Cannes, Venice, and Berlin. The Special Presentations section, where 'Good News' will be screened, features highly anticipated films that are attracting global attention. Previously introduced Korean films in this section include 'Veteran 2', 'Decision to Leave', 'The Age of Shadows', and 'The Handmaiden'.


'Good News' depicts the operation carried out by a group of people who gather together to land a hijacked airplane. Sol Kyung-gu and Hong Kyung star in the lead roles.

Cameron Bailey, Executive Director of the Toronto International Film Festival, commented, "The festival's philosophy of innovation, authenticity, and a global perspective, which has been upheld for the past 50 years, truly stands out."
