Sogang University Real Estate Studies Cooperative Program Wins Excellent Paper Award at Korea Association of Property Appraisers

Sogang University announced on the 28th that the research team from the Real Estate Studies Cooperative Program received the Excellent Paper Award at the academic conference of the Korea Association of Property Appraisers.

The award-winning paper is titled "Determinants of Investment Demand for Overseas Office REITs: Panel Data Analysis of Three Foreign Countries." The study analyzes the impact of variables such as interest rates and exchange rates on transaction volume in the office REIT markets of major countries, including the United States, Japan, and Australia.

The Real Estate Studies Cooperative Program at Sogang University was newly established in 2023 with the goal of cultivating experts through an integrated curriculum that covers all areas of real estate, including urban planning, development, finance, and policy.

Professor Lee Sangkeun of the School of Business said, "This award is a symbolic achievement that demonstrates the integrative educational objectives of the Real Estate Studies Cooperative Program."
