In addition, Daekyu Kang took second place in the freestyle 92kg category despite an injury, earning Guro District one gold medal and one silver medal.

The Guro District Office wrestling team has been consistently active to promote the sport of wrestling, and achieved outstanding results in this competition, further enhancing the reputation of the local sports community. Yongseok Jung, who was also selected as a national team member in 2023, has once again been chosen for 2025 and is set to compete at the World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, in September this year.

Alongside the national team selection tournament, Guro District Office athletes continued their medal streak at the "50th KBS Cup National Wrestling Tournament in Commemoration of Yang Jungmo’s Olympic Victory," which took place from June 20 to 26.

Daekyu Kang won a silver medal in the freestyle 92kg category, while Yongseok Jung in the freestyle 70kg category and Mireu Choi in the freestyle 61kg category each secured bronze medals. The team also added a bronze medal in the team event, competing under the name of Guro District Office.

The Guro District Office wrestling team is continuing intensive training with the goal of participating in an international tournament scheduled to be held in Chonburi, Thailand, in August this year. As Yongseok Jung prepares for the World Championships, there are high expectations that he will further elevate the status of Korea on the international stage.

Jang Inhong, head of the Guro District Office, stated, "The Guro District Office wrestling team is raising the level of local sports by continuously producing national team members for Korea. We will continue to provide strong support for the promotion of wrestling and the development of outstanding athletes."
