Renault Korea (CEO Stephane Deblaise) will begin pre-orders for the electric SUV 'Scenic E-Tech 100% Electric,' which is scheduled for domestic release in August, starting on June 27.
Renault Korea introduced that approximately 4,000 customers participated in the 'Waiting Program' conducted throughout May prior to the pre-order period. Among them, consumers in their 30s and 40s accounted for 54%, indicating strong interest from younger customer segments.
The Scenic E-Tech is based on Renault Group's dedicated electric vehicle platform, 'AmpR Medium.' It is produced at the Douai plant in France, and a total of 999 units are scheduled to be imported and sold in Korea this year.
Equipped with a 160kW (218ps) motor and 300Nm of torque, the Scenic E-Tech features an 87kWh NCM battery from LG Energy Solution, enabling a maximum driving range of up to 460km on a single charge. When using a 130kW high-speed charger, it takes approximately 34 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%.
The 'Smart Cocoon' technology, which inserts damping-enhanced foam between the vehicle floor and the battery casing, improves cabin quietness during driving. In addition, the 'Pyro Switch,' which cuts off high-voltage battery power in case of fire, and the 'Fireman Access' technology, jointly developed with the French fire authorities, have also been applied.
The interior offers ample space thanks to a flat floor design. The second-row knee room measures 278mm, and the headroom is 884mm, both of which are among the best in its class. Furthermore, the panoramic sunroof 'Solarbay,' which allows for adjustable transparency, has been applied to enhance passenger convenience.
Information regarding pre-orders can be found at Renault Korea showrooms nationwide, on the official website, and at the Angel Center.
