Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Yang Jaesaeng) and Hwashin Cyber University have joined forces to foster customized talent development.
On June 27, Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced that it would sign a memorandum of understanding with Hwashin Cyber University in the main building's conference room to strengthen industry-academia cooperation.
The signing ceremony will be attended by Yang Jaesaeng, Chairman of Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Jung Hyunmin, Executive Vice Chairman; Hwang Jugwon, President of Hwashin Cyber University; Lee Jongseon, Vice President; as well as about 10 officials from both organizations.
The main contents of the agreement include joint research and development of programs in the fields of education and academia, support for practical special lectures, regular and commissioned education, and cooperation in employment and entrepreneurship. The focus is on establishing a practical foundation for cooperation that responds to the needs of the local industry.
Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Hwashin Cyber University plan to use this agreement as an opportunity to secure new growth engines for the local economy, build an infrastructure for industry-academia cooperation between companies and universities, and spread a culture that is friendly to collaboration.
Yang Jaesaeng, Chairman, stated, "Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been working to vitalize industry-academia cooperation in partnership with local universities," and emphasized, "We will actively support local companies and universities so they can achieve greater results in joint research and the creation of customized jobs."
