About 7,000 Applied... Physical Fitness Assessment Introduced for the First Time
Successful Candidates to Join and Begin Training Sequentially from August
Air Premia announced on June 27 that it will reveal the final successful candidates for its cabin crew recruitment in the first half of the year next month.
According to Air Premia, a total of approximately 7,000 applicants participated in this recruitment process. The applicants completed the document screening, the first-round practical interview, the second-round culture fit interview, and the physical fitness assessment.
The final successful candidates will join the company sequentially starting in mid-August and will undergo full-scale training. Afterward, they will be gradually assigned to the field in stages.
Starting this year, Air Premia newly introduced a physical fitness assessment in the cabin crew recruitment process, focusing on verifying practical safety response capabilities. The assessment items included grip strength, flexibility (sit and reach), arm reach, sit-ups, and the burpee test. These were designed to comprehensively evaluate the basic physical fitness required to respond to in-flight emergencies.
An Air Premia representative stated, "Cabin crew members are professionals who perform the essential role of ensuring safety, in addition to providing service," adding, "This physical fitness assessment serves as an important standard to confirm the basic qualifications necessary for that role." The representative also expressed gratitude, saying, "We would like to thank all applicants who demonstrated such high interest and passion."
