BMW Group Korea announced on June 27 that it will extend its support for the free replacement period of major consumable parts for the seven BMW X5 vehicles donated as fire command patrol cars to the Seoul Metropolitan Fire & Disaster Headquarters in 2016.
BMW Group Korea has decided to indefinitely extend the free replacement period for consumable parts for the seven BMW X5 vehicles currently being used as fire command patrol cars. The company aims to ensure the stable operation of these vehicles at fire sites and to enhance both safety and efficiency during patrol and disaster response missions.
The free replacement items include essential consumables for vehicle operation, such as regular inspections, engine oil, brake fluid, air filters, front and rear brake pads, and brake discs. These vehicles will be eligible for free replacement of consumable parts at BMW authorized dealer service centers until the end of their service life.
The BMW X5 vehicles, donated by BMW Group Korea to the Fire & Disaster Headquarters in 2016 as the first imported car brand to do so, were specially prepared for mission-critical operations. Two vehicles were assigned to the Seoul Metropolitan Fire & Disaster Headquarters, and one vehicle each was allocated to the Gangnam, Guro, Mapo, Yeongdeungpo, and Eunpyeong fire stations.
Meanwhile, in March, BMW Group Korea donated 500 million won to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association to support recovery efforts for large-scale wildfires that occurred nationwide. The donation was raised jointly by BMW Group employees, BMW Financial Services Korea, and seven official dealers across the country.
BMW Group Korea has been actively supporting fire sites nationwide and carrying out various activities for fire safety. In 2022, the company delivered 1,150 refrigerators?capable of storing medicines and beverages for emergency use at fire sites?to the National Fire Agency. In 2024, BMW Group Korea conducted driving training for paramedics at Incheon area fire stations using actual ambulances, helping to enhance both their driving skills and on-site response capabilities.
