The city of Gwangju successfully concluded the '2025 Gwangju Together Job Festa' at Kim Daejung Convention Center on the 26th, with approximately 1,500 job seekers in attendance.
This fair served as an integrated job expo encompassing a wide range of groups, including youth, middle-aged individuals, women with career interruptions, and marriage migrant women. It was especially meaningful as the first large-scale event integrating the previous mini job fairs and the women's job festa.
At the fair, 50 outstanding local small and medium-sized enterprises, including N09 Co., Coupang Fulfillment Service, and Cheonsa Nursing Hospital, participated and conducted one-on-one on-site interviews. Notably, some companies hired interviewees on the spot or scheduled follow-up interviews, achieving tangible recruitment results and delivering high satisfaction to both companies and job seekers.
A representative from one participating company stated, "It is very satisfying to meet excellent talent in person and proceed directly to recruitment. We plan to continue participating in job fairs in the future."
This event operated a total of 114 booths, receiving a great response from job seekers. In particular, the 'JOB Boost Zone', which included a resume and cover letter clinic, employment consulting, and image making, helped job seekers strengthen their practical job-seeking skills.
Additionally, the market featuring marriage migrant women and North Korean defectors, as well as future industry experience booths where participants could explore advanced industries such as AI and energy, provided job seekers with new experiences and visions for the future.
Held in conjunction with the '2025 Gwangju Future Industry Expo', this job fair offered job seekers the opportunity to directly observe and experience promising future industries, further increasing citizen participation.
Mayor Kang Gijeong stated, "It is very meaningful that this fair, prepared to enable participation from diverse groups, has led to actual recruitment. We will continue to create high-quality jobs that can improve the quality of life for citizens."
This event was hosted by the Gwangju Economic Promotion and Win-Win Job Foundation and the Songwon University Women's New Employment Center, and co-organized by the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Office of SMEs and Startups, the Gwangju-Jeonnam-Jeju Regional Headquarters of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, the Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office Veterans Support Center, Korea Electric Power Corporation, Gwangju City Family Center, and Gwangju Tourism Organization.
The city of Gwangju provides a variety of employment support services through the Gwangju Job Integrated Center, the Women's New Employment Center, and the Women's Human Resources Development Center. Based on the experience of operating the integrated 'Job Festa' for the first time this year and feedback from participating companies, the city plans to further develop the fair into a more substantial event.
