The Office for Government Policy Coordination reported on the new administration's plans for regulatory reform, including enhancing the effectiveness of the regulatory sandbox, improving regulations to support economic and livelihood recovery, and strengthening the regulatory innovation control tower. The Office also announced, "We will focus on regulatory innovation for new industries and operate the entire regulatory improvement process with a consumer- and field-oriented approach."
In response, Oh emphasized, "For new industries, innovative measures that can fundamentally shift the existing regulatory policy paradigm must be developed."
Planning and expert committee members participating in the Task Force urged, "Unnecessary regulations put in place for administrative convenience should be boldly eliminated, but regulations directly related to the lives and safety of citizens must be rationally supplemented."
