With her appointment as promotional ambassador, Kim Gyuri is expected to take the lead not only in promoting the Sumuk Biennale domestically and internationally, but also in widely showcasing Jeollanam-do's artistic assets and tourism resources.
Governor Kim stated, "I was deeply impressed by Kim Gyuri's role as the host of the memorial ceremony for President Roh Moo-hyun," adding, "Her courage to speak out on social issues reflects her authenticity and conviction as an artist."
He continued, "I understand that she is also preparing a solo exhibition at the provincial government gallery during the biennale period. I am grateful for her active involvement as an ambassador," and added, "She is well acquainted with General Director Yoon Jaegap, and I expect their collaboration to create a great synergy."
