Songzio Successfully Showcases 26SS Collection at Paris Fashion Week

On June 25, leading Korean designer brand SONGZIO unveiled its 26SS collection, "POLYPTYCH," at Paris Fashion Week.

This collection draws inspiration from the painting format "polyptych," in which multiple panels are connected to form a single artwork. Through avant-garde forms of deconstruction and the harmony of dynamic fragments, the collection explores profound discourse on presence and absence, as well as the past and the future. SONGZIO's 26SS collection proposes a new aesthetic that transcends the boundaries of time and space, depicting a future that is constantly colliding, blending, and regenerating.

SONGZIO has completed the aesthetics of "Oriental Futurism"?an Eastern-inspired futurism?through contrasting arrangements of patterns, materials, and color tones, where classicism and avant-garde breathe and clash within tranquil shadows.

The 26SS collection show took place at the Theatre National de Chaillot, located in Trocadero Square in Paris’s 16th arrondissement. Held at this symbolic venue overlooking the Eiffel Tower, the show attracted attention as a stage that further highlighted SONGZIO's original aesthetics and innovative designs.

In particular, the artistic lighting direction and experimental music added a dramatic atmosphere, blending SONGZIO’s signature avant-garde designs with a sensuous mood to deliver a powerful sense of immersion.

The collection garnered attention as the brand’s muses?Seonghwa of ATEEZ and Bae Jungnam?walked the runway as models. Bae Jungnam showcased his intense presence with his signature charisma and confident walk, while Seonghwa brought the dynamic mood of the show to completion with the charm befitting a global K-pop artist. During Paris Fashion Week, Seonghwa and Bae Jungnam also visited SONGZIO’s Paris flagship store, which opened in November last year, drawing further attention.

SONGZIO’s 26SS collection "POLYPTYCH" boldly challenged and reinterpreted the boundaries of time, form, culture, and conventional notions of attire through experimental approaches. The collection restructured the body’s form with the fluid movement of bias cuts and asymmetric drapes, while vertical lines and panels?appearing as if cut in midair?flowed along the body, adding transparency and rhythm to create a ghostly veil. Notably, the collection featured a unique color flow: primitive, deep brown tones inspired by wood, forests, rocks, and strata; intense red tones; and futuristic metallic colors that harmonized to express originality.

The materials also emphasized diversity and innovation. Natural fabrics such as organic washed cotton, linen, and boiled wool captured the essential beauty of the East, while innovative textiles like metallic tweed, glossy leather, holographic vinyl, and ultra-lightweight advanced materials explored new textures and dimensions.

Through this, SONGZIO achieved a unique and futuristic silhouette characterized by multidimensional and three-dimensional arrangements of materials.

Since its founding in 1993, SONGZIO, a leading Korean designer brand, has driven innovation in the Korean fashion scene with its contemporary sensibility and experimental designs. Breaking down the boundaries between art and fashion, the SONGZIO house pursues creative originality. In addition to its presence in Korea, SONGZIO has elevated the status of Korean fashion in the global market by opening a flagship store in the Marais district of Paris and joining world-renowned brands in department stores such as Printemps and La Samaritaine in Paris. SONGZIO is set to open a Paris women’s flagship store in July this year, drawing significant attention from the global fashion industry.
