Largest-Ever R&D Recruitment
Full-Time Positions Offered After 5-Week Internship
On June 26, Coway announced that it is recruiting R&D (Research and Development) interns for a next-generation technology innovation program that is directly linked to full-time employment.
This R&D intern recruitment marks the largest intake of new research and development personnel in Coway's history. The company plans to hire a double-digit number of interns. Coway stated that it is committed to actively discovering and nurturing outstanding tech talent who will lead the advancement of technological innovation, with a focus on securing future R&D competitiveness.
The R&D intern positions being recruited this time cover six areas: mechanical design, hardware design, software design, refrigeration design, filter development, and R&D planning. The program is open to domestic and international candidates who have already graduated with a bachelor's degree or higher, as well as those who are expected to graduate.
For this internship recruitment, Coway has eliminated the in-person interview stage to simplify the process and focus on job competency-based evaluation. The hiring process consists of three stages: document screening, an artificial intelligence (AI) aptitude test, and a job-related written test. Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on July 4.
Successful candidates will undergo a five-week internship starting in early August and, based on evaluation results, will be immediately converted to full-time entry-level employees. The workplace is the Coway R&D Center, located within the Seoul National University Research Park in Gwanak-gu, Seoul.
During the internship, interns will gain hands-on experience with assignments and job responsibilities, deepening their understanding of the company and its operations while acquiring essential foundational skills needed as new employees. Those whose assignments are selected as outstanding will have the opportunity to take on the role of new product development leader. New employees who are converted to full-time after the internship will be offered a congratulatory overseas training opportunity. Additional benefits include support for overseas master's and doctoral tuition, opportunities to attend international exhibitions and forums, and participation in industry-academia projects with leading domestic and international universities.
Coway has prepared a variety of promotional videos and informational materials on its recruitment website to help applicants understand the R&D roles and the company culture. Videos and interview content featuring current researchers are provided to enhance understanding of the roles and to give insight into the actual work environment after joining the company.
Choi Jiuk, Head of HR Strategy at Coway, stated, "We are conducting this employment-linked internship to provide talented individuals with passion and a spirit of challenge in the R&D field the opportunity to fully demonstrate their abilities through real projects. We plan to provide unwavering support so that they can grow into next-generation tech leaders who will drive Coway's future technological innovation."
