On June 26, Mgen Solution, an artificial intelligence (AI) fire safety company, announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Intelvics, a company specializing in generative vision AI. The two companies plan to focus on advancing integrated safety solutions by combining their respective AI technologies.

Intelvics is an AI company specializing in security and monitoring, having supplied AI video analysis solutions to more than 68.5% of local governments nationwide. The company aims to become a leader in "video-language model (VLM)" technology by integrating video AI with generative AI.

Previously, Intelvics was selected as a partner for NVIDIA Metropolis. Last year, the company received NEP (New Excellent Product) certification from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and was recognized for its technological capabilities by being designated as an "Excellent Corporate Research Institute" by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

Mgen Solution, based on its AI video analysis technology, was the first in Korea to supply an AI crowd response monitoring system to a local government in Seoul. Recently, the company has unveiled fire detection and suppression systems and autonomous robots, focusing its capabilities on disaster-related fields.

Intelvics has also recently expanded its technological reach into the defense and security sectors and is currently developing AI video surveillance solutions based on quadruped and humanoid robots.

The two companies plan to collaborate on various projects, including enhancing integrated safety solutions by combining Intelvics' AI recognition and analysis solutions with Mgen Solution's AI fire suppression systems.

A representative from Mgen Solution stated, "As the first stage of our business collaboration, we will work to expand the market so that our integrated safety solutions can be introduced to a variety of clients." The representative added, "With the new government pledging to expand big data and AI-based disaster prediction and monitoring, as well as intelligent CCTV at construction sites, we expect both companies to rapidly increase their market share and benefit from related opportunities."
