Jeonbuk Regional Association Donates 2 Million Won for Wildfire Recovery in Yeongdeok County
The Gyeongbuk Regional Association of Informatization Villages held the 13th Informatization Village Yeong-Honam Exchange Conference over two days on June 19 and 20 at Ocean Beach Resort in Ganggu-myeon, Yeongdeok County.
The event was attended by approximately 120 people from 35 Informatization Villages in Gyeongbuk and 17 in Jeonbuk, who exchanged information and expertise and explored ways to strengthen cooperation between the two regions.
During the opening ceremony on June 19, County Governor Kim Kwangyeol welcomed participants, expressing his hope that the exchange conference would serve as a hub for ongoing communication and cooperation between Yeongnam and Honam, and become a foundation for shared prosperity in both regions.
Throughout the event, participants engaged in a variety of programs, including special lectures, discussion sessions, and recreational activities. On the second day, they toured major tourist attractions in Yeongdeok, gaining firsthand experience of the county's environment and culture.
In particular, the Jeonbuk Regional Association marked the occasion by delivering a donation of 2 million won to Yeongdeok County, which suffered significant damage from a wildfire earlier this year, reaffirming the spirit of solidarity and mutual support.
The Informatization Village Associations of Gyeongbuk and Jeonbuk have taken turns hosting the exchange conference annually since 2010.
