First, from June 6 to 8, the company held a tire inspection event called "Tire Boy" at Daegu Samsung Lions Park. This event was organized through T Station to support a safe and comfortable driving environment for baseball fans during the summer. The event was also held at Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark from June 20 to 22.

During the event, "Tire Boys," modeled after beer boys who sell beer at baseball stadiums, inspected the tire conditions and air pressure of a total of 712 vehicles visiting the stadiums. Among these, 460 vehicles (65%) were found to have either insufficient or excessively high tire pressure.

If tire pressure is insufficient, uneven wear occurs on the edges of the tire that come into contact with the road. This can lead to vehicle pull during sudden braking, increasing the risk of lane departure accidents. In severe cases, repeated contraction and expansion of the tire sidewall, known as standing waves, can result in tire damage while driving.

Conversely, if tire pressure is excessively high, the tire cannot perform at 100% of its capability due to overexpansion. In particular, braking and handling performance during cornering are compromised, reducing driving stability and increasing the risk of accidents. The inability to absorb sudden external shocks also leads to lower ride comfort.

A Hankook Tire representative stated, "It is important to inflate and maintain tires at the proper pressure." "The recommended tire pressure for each vehicle can be found on the sticker inside the driver's door or in the vehicle manual, and any abnormal tire pressure can also be detected by the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) warning light on the dashboard," the representative added.
