Trust in State Affairs Also Rises
45% Say "Good Choice" for Kim Minseok as Prime Minister
61% Agree on the Need for a Supplementary Budget

According to the National Barometer Survey (NBS) conducted by Embrain Public, Kstat Research, Korea Research, and Hankook Research from June 23 to 25, targeting 1,000 men and women aged 18 and over nationwide through mobile phone interviews (with a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points at the 95% confidence level and a response rate of 18.3%), the approval rating for President Lee's "good job in running state affairs" reached 62%, up 9 percentage points compared to two weeks ago, immediately after his inauguration. The disapproval rating, indicating he is "doing a poor job," was 21%, which is an increase of 2 percentage points compared to two weeks ago.
Regarding President Lee's management of state affairs, 63% of respondents answered that they trust him. This figure also represents a 9 percentage point increase compared to the survey conducted two weeks ago. The percentage of respondents who do not trust him was 29%, which is a decrease of 7 percentage points from the previous survey.
Regarding the nomination of Kim Minseok as Prime Minister, 45% of respondents said it was a good choice, while 31% said it was a poor choice. Among moderates, 45% responded that it was a good choice, while 29% said it was a poor choice.
When it comes to the supplementary budget, 61% of respondents said it was necessary. Meanwhile, 28% answered that it was not necessary. Regarding the livelihood recovery support payment, 48% said it should be distributed differentially according to income level, 27% said it should be given only to vulnerable groups, and 21% said it should be given equally to all citizens.
In terms of party support, the Democratic Party of Korea recorded 45%, the same as two weeks ago. The People Power Party's support fell by 3 percentage points to 20%.
