The Microbiome Well-Aging Project Group at Dongshin University has joined hands with related organizations to promote microbiome research and foster related industries in the Jeonnam region.
The Microbiome Well-Aging Project Group recently announced on June 26 that it has signed a business agreement with the National Honam Biological Resources Center's Island Biological Research Division, the Namhaean Fermented Food Industry Support Center, and the Mokpo Marine Food Support Center. The agreement aims to promote cooperation in microbiome research and support the activation of related industries in the region.
Through this agreement, the organizations have agreed to establish a collaborative system in various fields, including: joint research initiatives for the sustainable use of microbiome-related biological resources; development and operation of training programs for professionals in the microbiome research industry; mutual cooperation to foster the microbiome industry sector; exchanges for the mutual development of the bioindustry in Jeonnam; and collaboration in research and development of bio-based materials.
Na Changsoo, head of the Microbiome Well-Aging Project Group, stated, "This agreement is more than just cooperation between institutions; it marks a starting point for the substantial growth and sustainable ecosystem of the bioindustry in the region." He added, "We will strive to create an innovative model for the well-aging industry centered on microbiome technology."
Meanwhile, the Microbiome Well-Aging Project Group at Dongshin University is laying the foundation for the future of the regional microbiome well-aging research industry in partnership with 12 institutions and companies in the Honam region, including the Herbal Medicine Resources Research Center at the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine, the Food Industry Research Center at the Jeonnam Bioindustry Foundation, and the Biological Resources Center at the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology.
