Accident Prevention and Psychological Stability Effects

KCC has initiated the development of color design aimed at creating a pleasant environment and enhancing safety at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries' Ulsan headquarters.

On June 26, KCC announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries to jointly develop color designs related to environmental and safety improvements. The two companies discussed ways to create a safe and comfortable working environment at the Ulsan headquarters site through color design, as well as strategies to enhance their respective brand values.

Through this agreement, KCC plans to collaborate in various areas, including: researching and producing an environmental and safety color design manual for HD Hyundai Heavy Industries' Ulsan headquarters; supporting interior and exterior color design for buildings and facilities; and designing branding and promotional content. KCC will conduct a thorough analysis of the environmental and safety points at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries' shipyard and will pursue customized color design solutions and corresponding product specification improvements.

KCC intends to actively incorporate the philosophy and expertise of its Color & Design Research Center's "Color Universal Design" (CUD) to enhance safety and create a better working environment at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries sites. Color Universal Design is a design technique that utilizes color combinations and differences in brightness and saturation so that anyone, regardless of disability, age, or cultural background, can easily perceive colors. In industrial settings, this approach helps prevent accidents and enables quick responses, while also providing psychological stability, thereby improving worker safety and satisfaction.

A KCC representative stated, "Going forward, we will continue to lead the way in creating sustainable environments and practicing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management by providing differentiated color solutions to various industrial sites and public facilities, based on our unique eco-friendly paints and color design capabilities."
