SEMAS Signs Agreement with Four Courier Companies to Support Small Business Delivery and Courier Fees

Support of Up to 300,000 Won for Small Businesses
with Annual Sales Under 300 Million Won
Including CJ Logistics, Hanjin, and Lotte Global Logistics

The Small Enterprise and Market Service (SEMAS) announced on June 26 that it had signed a "Mutual Cooperation Agreement for Supporting Delivery and Courier Fees for Small Businesses" with four courier companies at Dream Square in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

This agreement is a measure to quickly provide delivery and courier fee subsidies to small businesses, and will be implemented in cooperation with CJ Logistics, Hanjin, Lotte Global Logistics, and Logen Delivery.

SEMAS is currently promoting the "Small Business Delivery and Courier Fee Support Project," which provides up to 300,000 won in delivery and courier fee subsidies to small businesses with annual sales of 300 million won or less, with a budget of 203.7 billion won this year. This initiative was launched in response to increased management burdens on small businesses due to rising delivery and courier fees. Starting with a business agreement with O2O platform companies and delivery agencies in February, SEMAS will now collaborate with a total of 12 companies through this latest agreement.

The Small Business Delivery and Courier Fee Support Project operates by receiving information on small businesses using delivery and courier services from courier companies, O2O platform companies, and delivery agencies, verifying eligibility, and then providing the subsidies.

Through this agreement, courier companies will provide information on small businesses using their services, while SEMAS will verify whether applicants meet requirements such as sales thresholds and business closure status. Eligible small businesses will be able to receive up to 300,000 won in subsidies quickly, without the need for separate supporting documents.

Park Sunghyo, President of SEMAS, stated, "Through this agreement, small businesses using the contracted courier companies can conveniently apply without submitting additional supporting documents, and SEMAS has established a system to provide subsidies more quickly.
