Gyeonggi-do Corporation's Menstrual Products Online Mall Sees Explosive Response

Over 26,000 Orders Placed in Just 20 Days Since Launch

Gyeonggi-do Corporation announced on June 26 that the "Menstrual Products Online Shopping Mall for Adolescent Girls," which launched on May 26, has shown rapid growth, recording more than 26,000 cumulative orders, a total order value of approximately 1.2 billion KRW, and over 22,000 members in just 20 days since its opening.

The existing menstrual product voucher for adolescent girls in Gyeonggi-do had limitations, as it relied on offline distribution channels such as convenience stores, resulting in a narrow range of product choices and restricted purchase accessibility. To address these issues, Gyeonggi-do Corporation launched a new online shopping mall specializing in menstrual products, reflecting the consumption patterns of adolescent girls.


The shopping mall is operated in connection with the public delivery app "Baedal Teukgeup" and features 12 menstrual product companies, allowing users to purchase a wide variety of products. User satisfaction is also very high; as of June 5, 98.2% of the 774 reviews registered on the mall gave a high rating of 4 or 5 out of 5 points.


Small and medium-sized manufacturers participating in the mall have also seen their online sales increase by an average of more than 50% since joining, and have experienced enhanced brand recognition. As a result, the platform is being evaluated as achieving both high consumer satisfaction and growth for small and medium-sized enterprises in the province.


Lee Jaejun, CEO of Gyeonggi-do Corporation, said, "The public delivery app Baedal Teukgeup is evolving beyond simple delivery services to become a comprehensive welfare policy platform, now connecting with child meal cards, reusable container initiatives, and even a menstrual products shopping mall." He added, "We will continue to develop this platform so that both consumers and suppliers can be satisfied, and we will do our best to improve the quality of life and welfare of Gyeonggi-do residents."
