The memorial ceremony, organized by the Haman Chapter of the Korean National Police Veterans Association, was held to mark the 75th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War. The event aimed to remind participants of the painful history of the Korean people and to honor the spirit of sacrifice of police officers who died in battle and the patriotic spirits who defended the nation.

More than 120 people attended the event, including the Commissioner of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency, the President of the Korean National Police Veterans Association, the Director of the Eastern Gyeongnam Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, and local residents.

Earlier, on June 23 and 24, about 60 employees of the provincial police agency visited sites of police history, including the Haman Police Victory Memorial Hall and the Uiryeong 4.26 Memorial Park, to pay tribute to fallen police officers and to reaffirm their sense of duty as public officials.

An official from the provincial police agency stated, "We will continue to honor the legacy of senior police officers who sacrificed for the country and make greater efforts to carry on the spirit of national defense and patriotism."
