On June 25, Park Wansu, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, expressed his gratitude to veterans and distinguished individuals at the 75th anniversary event of the Korean War held at the Changwon Convention Center (CECO).

Governor Park said, "Even if you joined the war at the age of 20, you are now over 90 years old," and added, "I am grateful that you have overcome difficult times and are here with us in good health."
He went on to emphasize the importance of national unity, stating, "The way to prevent war is to build a strong power," and "If the people are united, our country can become one that no one dares to challenge."
Governor Park also said, "Today, I heard firsthand about various issues, including the working environment of veterans' organizations, and I felt a great sense of responsibility as governor." He pledged, "Although it may not be possible to solve all problems at once, I will steadily work to improve them with determination."
He added, "I hope you will always stay healthy and continue to attend this commemorative ceremony for many years to come."

Gyeongnam Province held the 75th anniversary event of the Korean War and a veterans' appreciation event under the theme "The Blood and Sweat of That Day Became Today's Shining Stars" to remember those who participated in the war that broke out on June 25, 1950, and to reflect on the meaning of the war.
The event began with a pre-ceremony performance by the Army 39th Division military band and the Munsuseoneum Children's Choir, followed by the national ceremony, a moment of silence for the fallen heroes, a performance of the original play "Unending Farewell," an awards ceremony for Korean War veterans and those honored during Patriots and Veterans Month, a retrospective speech, greetings, and the singing of the provincial anthem.
After the main event, a veterans' concert was held, which included a traditional Korean music performance and a special performance by a singer who is a descendant of a national merit recipient.
About 500 people attended the event, including Governor Park Wansu, Kim Sangwoo, Director of the Gyeongnam Eastern Veterans Affairs Office, heads of various organizations and veterans' groups, Korean War veterans, national merit recipients, and their families.
