Gimpo City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 25th that it held the 'Global Emotion ON Talk Concert' at Aegibong Peace Ecological Park on the 24th as part of efforts to strengthen external cooperation and advance as a global hub city, with both Koreans and foreigners participating.

This event was designed to foster global awareness and broaden perspectives among citizens, and it received an enthusiastic response with more than 200 Koreans, foreigners, and citizens in attendance.
The talk concert featured Alberto Mondi (Italy), Daniel Lindemann (Germany), and Lucky (India), who are well-known for their appearances on the TV show 'Non-Summit,' as panelists. They engaged in candid and lively discussions on a variety of topics, including education, culture, peace in different countries, famous attractions in Gimpo, and their first impressions of the city. The event was moderated by Kim Jin, anchor at Channel A and ambassador for Aegibong Peace Ecological Park, who helped create a friendly atmosphere where both the panelists and citizens could freely share their opinions.
The panelists commented, "Aegibong Peace Ecological Park was more beautiful than we imagined. It is a precious place where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, take a walk, and look across to North Korea. We definitely want to introduce this place to our foreign friends." Citizens also expressed their satisfaction, saying, "We are grateful to Gimpo City for organizing such an important event. It was very helpful in broadening our civic awareness and expanding our perspectives."
Since the launch of the 8th popularly elected administration, Gimpo City has been working to move beyond the parochial perspective of 'among ourselves within Gimpo' and has promoted city development through external communication and cooperation. Mayor Kim Byungsoo emphasized, "Gimpo must send its potential out into the wider world and become a city where opportunities come to us."
A city official stated, "We hope that Aegibong Peace Ecological Park, loved by people around the world, will become more than just a tourist attraction and serve as a place for sharing global sensibilities." The official added, "Gimpo City will continue to provide valuable experiences to students and citizens through various programs of the Special Education Development Zone project."
Meanwhile, under the 8th popularly elected administration, Gimpo City is continuing its cooperation with various overseas cities. At the same time, the city is focusing on strengthening the global capabilities of students and citizens through programs such as native speaker education at community care centers, special lectures on foreign language study methods, and elementary school vacation English camps. The city is determined to further solidify its status as a premier education city by continuously developing educational programs that foster global competitiveness.
