Multifaceted Discussions for Achieving "Zero Major Accidents"

Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmoon) announced on June 25 that it recently held the first half "Safety and Health Management Committee" meeting at its headquarters in Mareuk-dong, Seo-gu, and conducted inspections to assess the status of its safety management practices aimed at preventing major accidents.

Four external experts specializing in safety, health, and industrial accident prevention attended the meeting. They evaluated the corporation's disaster safety capabilities from an objective and professional perspective and discussed future improvement measures.

At the meeting, the corporation received high marks for its overall safety management, including the establishment of safety and health policies, efficient organizational operations, and the development of disaster prevention training and response manuals for employees. However, it was also advised to make improvements in certain areas, such as further detailing the specific items in workplace risk assessments.

Based on the outcomes of this meeting, the corporation plans to actively pursue systematic accident prevention activities. These will include advancing its risk assessment system and strengthening safety management standards for contractors and partner companies.

President Cho Ikmoon stated, "We are doing our utmost to achieve zero safety accidents by preventing major disasters," adding, "We will continue to thoroughly manage safety to protect the lives and well-being of citizens and workers."
