Hyundai Mobis Pays 150 Trillion Won to Partners Over 3 Years, Driving a Virtuous Cycle of Shared Growth

Hyundai Mobis has paid a total of 150 trillion won to its partner companies over the past three years. Analysts say that technological innovation and business structure improvement aimed at leading the future mobility market have driven mutual growth and shared prosperity within the value chain.


According to the "Sustainability Report 2025" published by Hyundai Mobis on June 26, the number of domestic and overseas partner companies increased by 11.5%, from 3,682 in 2022 to 4,108 last year.

Hyundai Mobis stated, "As we have grown into a leading global parts company, the increase in sales and business expansion has created a virtuous cycle that drives shared growth with our partners." The company added, "Over the past three years, our order volume from global automakers, excluding affiliates, has exceeded $16 billion (about 22 trillion won), which has significantly increased the scale of purchases from domestic and overseas partners."


In line with its goal of building a mutually beneficial ecosystem, Hyundai Mobis has established and implemented detailed support policies that encompass second- and third-tier partners. The company operates various financial support programs such as the Shared Growth Fund and mutual cooperation loans, and it also supports the strengthening of technological capabilities through free patent licensing, joint technology development, and development cost assistance for its partners.


Furthermore, Hyundai Mobis has invested approximately 7 trillion won in research and development (R&D) over the past five years, focusing its efforts on strengthening competitiveness to become a "global top player" in the future mobility market. With continuous expansion of R&D investment, the company has secured a cumulative total of 9,155 patent applications as of last year, and it is expected to surpass 10,000 this year.


During the preparation of the Sustainability Report, Hyundai Mobis further enhanced the procedures and content based on global disclosure standards, including the expanded obligation to disclose ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) information in the market.


In addition, in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), the company conducted a double materiality assessment, which simultaneously considers the impact of corporate activities on society and the environment, as well as the impact of social issues on the company's financial performance.
