A total of 705 innovative financial services designated so far
The Financial Services Commission announced on June 25 that it had newly designated 14 innovative financial services during its regular meeting. As a result, a total of 705 services have now been designated as innovative financial services, allowing them to be tested and verified in the market.
The newly designated innovative financial services include one case of "fractional overseas stock trading service" by Woori Investment & Securities, and 13 cases of "services utilizing generative AI in internal systems" by SK Telecom and nine other companies.
In addition, the commission accepted applications to modify the designation details for four previously designated innovative financial services. It approved the change and addition of innovative financial business operators for Dunamu's "unlisted stock trading platform" and SSG.com's "package-type financial product service for shopping platform users," respectively.
For two cases of "services utilizing generative AI in internal systems" by Korea Investment & Securities and one other company, the commission accepted applications to modify the designation details, which include adding new generative AI models and expanding the scope of business terminal usage.
