Green Tree Foundation Launches 1st Youth Planning Group for School Violence Prevention Activities The scene of the 1st joint launch ceremony of the "2025 School Violence Prevention Activity Youth Planning Group" held at the Green Tree Foundation headquarters on the 21st.

BTF Green Tree Foundation (Chairman Park Gilseong) announced on the 25th that the 1st joint group of the "2025 School Violence Prevention Activity Youth Planning Group" has been launched.


The launch ceremony was organized to mark the foundation's 30th anniversary and to officially begin the operation of the "School Violence Prevention Activity Youth Planning Group," which is led by youth. The event aims to spread a healthy peer culture free from school violence.


The event, held on the 21st, was attended by Park Gilseong, Chairman of the Foundation, Choi Sunhee, Secretary-General, and about 80 participants including youth, leaders, and parents involved in the planning group activities. Participating groups included Geumcheon Youth Center ("Pureumdan," led by Director Lim Jonghwa), Nowon Youth Center ("LIFT," led by Director Seo Cheolwon), Bangbae Art Youth Center ("Sorimoa," led by Director Lee Jeongyeon), Sanggye Youth Culture House ("MD," led by Director Kim Jongho), Seocho-gu Youth Counseling and Welfare Center ("Maeumjigi," led by Director Yang Mira), and Seoul Youth Media Center ("RE:FLECT," led by Director Lee Jongik).

The planning group consists of a total of 72 youth who have come together to focus on issues faced by young people and to unite toward the shared goal of preventing school violence. From the perspective of youth, they aim to create a daily life free from violence and foster a healthy peer culture. The group plans to carry out project activities on various topics, including video and children's song creation, campaigns, and performances, each covering different fields and themes.


Park Gilseong, Chairman, stated, "It is very meaningful to come together and unite through the voices of young people," and added, "BTF Green Tree Foundation will stand as a strong supporter, working together with youth to address the issue of school violence and ensuring that these meaningful activities continue."


BTF Green Tree Foundation is a non-profit public interest organization (NGO) established in 1995 to raise awareness in civil society about the seriousness of school violence and to prevent and treat school violence. To this day, the foundation continues its efforts to create a peaceful world where youth can dream with hope, through various projects such as counseling, preventive education, scholarships and research, and international activities.
