The store featured a wide range of home appliances, including fans, vacuum cleaners, air fryers, and electric toothbrushes. Johnny Wu, President of Xiaomi Korea, held a press conference at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 25th, stating, "The opening of our first official offline store in Korea is an important milestone in Xiaomi's journey to strengthen our connection with Korean consumers and to become a truly friendly brand."

The key new products launching in the Korean market alongside the store opening are the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi Smart Band 10.

With the launch of the Smart Band 10, Korea joins China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan as part of the global first-release countries. Andrew Lee, Head of East Asia Region at Xiaomi International Business Division, said, "Korean consumers lead trends in the East Asian market, so their feedback will be instrumental in expanding Xiaomi's wearable ecosystem." The Smart Band 10 features a 1.72-inch AMOLED display (resolution 212x520, 326 PPI), a peak brightness of 1,500 nits (HBM), and a 60Hz refresh rate.

Equipped with a 233mAh battery, the Smart Band 10 can be used for up to 21 days and supports magnetic charging that fully charges in about one hour. It also includes a new sleep management system, over 150 sports modes, and inter-device control features.

The Xiaomi 15 features a compact 6.36-inch size, a frame that is 33% more durable than the previous generation, and improved drop resistance with 'Xiaomi Shield Glass.' It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform built on TSMC's 3nm process, delivering enhanced performance and reduced power consumption. The camera system covers a range from 14mm ultra-wide, 60mm floating telephoto, to 10cm macro shots, along with various AI features.

With a 5,240mAh battery, the Xiaomi 15 can play videos for up to 25 hours on a single charge. The model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 1,109,900 won, while the 12GB RAM + 512GB model is priced at 1,149,500 won. From the 28th to the 6th of next month, they will be available at discounted prices of 999,900 won and 1,039,500 won, respectively.

However, Xiaomi smartphones can only be purchased through its own online and offline stores, as well as online platforms such as Coupang. Unlike Galaxy or iPhone models, they are not available for purchase with carrier subsidies from the three major mobile carriers, making it uncertain how much market share Xiaomi smartphones will be able to gain.

Additionally, Xiaomi products can offer greater usability when connected to various home products and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Since Xiaomi emphasizes reasonable pricing, the company believes that it is not cost-effective if a consumer purchases only one product. As a result, staff at the offline store are expected to recommend a variety of products to customers as part of their strategy.

To celebrate the official opening from the 28th to the 6th of next month, a variety of commemorative events will be held. Customers who complete the missions and challenges prepared in the store will have the opportunity to participate in a lucky draw event to win Xiaomi products and the SU7 Ultra car model.
